Seiko Mens Prospex Alpinist “Rock Face” European Limited Edition Watch SPB355J1

The Seiko Prospex Alpinist “Rock Face” European Limited Edition Watch SPB355J1 combines a 40mm round-shaped stainless steel case and grey polyester strap with a push button deployment clasp. It has a grey textured “rock style” analogue dial with luminescent Lumibrite hands, with the date visible at position three with a magnifier, protected beneath scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass. Power is generated by the self-winding automatic movement with an approximate power reserve of 70 hours. This model also has a water resistance of up to 200 metres.

Just 3,000 of these Limited Edition pieces have been created but are only available in Europe.

Its design is inspired by the rugged harshness of the mountain’s rock face. The textured dial reveals a different expression as the angle of vision changes, whilst the blue tones of the hands and indices extend the alpine theme.

The watch shape takes its cues from the original Seiko ‘Alpinist,’ first launched in 1959 for Japanese ‘Yama-otoko’ mountain men, to be reliable in treacherous terrain.
